Move Tracker for Relocation l Notion Template
Are you stressed about moving homes? Stress no more. I got you covered!
My partner and I were moving homes in two countries at the same time and as first time home & furniture owners, we were completely overwhelmed. "How do we track all our purchases, deliveries, and payments?!" was our BIG question. As an obsessive planner, I needed a way to have everything under control. We had an ambitious move planned from building the kitchen ourselves to painting our house. So I turned to NOTION to map everything in a way that made sense for our family.
How I built this template and why it works -
As someone who has rented apartments for the last 7 years and moved cities and/or countries every year or two, I know the importance of tracking bills so that furniture can be resold without significant losses. With every past move I felt stressed because I did not have original bills / purchase amounts / pictures. I also knew that without a tracker, I would go over budget. So I built a template that tracks every purchase along with the delivery, installation status, and the payment due. For us knowing when the items were getting delivered was important because it influenced which country we needed to be in at a given point in time to receive the shipments. (Moving in two countries at the same time may have been our stupidest or smartest adventure ever) All items can be linked to the respective shop via URL. Do you have a fixed budget for each room? In this template, you can see all your costs added up by room as well as the overall cost of furnishing your home. The template also enables you to track non-monetary items such as contracts, address changes, etc.

Read on MediumWhat you will get in this template -
Progress Bar: Keep an eye on your overall progress as well as the progress by area (rooms, installations, admin & legal to-dos, etc.)
Delivery Tracker: Track all your upcoming deliveries sorted by latest date.
Payment Tracker: The payment tracker shows you all the items that have a payment date but have not yet been paid for. This flexibility allows you to pay for items in advance or after delivery, when invoiced.
Wishlist: We don't all have bottomless bank accounts. This means that some items will stay on the nice-to-have list until we can justify the purchase. Track it in a separate table and move it to the main tracker when you commit to the purchase.
What I ask of you -
I only ask to be reimbursed with the price of a coffee, but if you are feeling more generous, please consider leaving me a review. I wish you a stress-free move! :)
